I’m playing three shows opening for my pal Rachael Yamagata in San Francisco (March 2) and Los Angeles (March 5 and 6.) R and I have written a bunch of songs together and also performed together many times. We did an especially memorable two-night stand of duets at City Winery in New York a few years ago. Highlight for me was singing Tom Petty & Stevie Nicks’ “Stop Dragging My Heart Around” with her. That song actually gave me the temporary illusion that Rachael and I had some kind of tormented love thing happening. Took me a couple glasses of wine to forgive her. I’m looking forward to playing my own sets and with luck Rachael and I will figure out some great songs to sing together.

This show sounds amazing!! I wish I lived in California. If you ever decide to play in Colorado, I’ll definitely be there! Good luck with everything Dan, you’re the coolest. <3
