On February 11th at the Grammy Awards, Dan Wilson and The Dixie Chicks’ “Not Ready to Make Nice” was named Song of the Year. The Dixie Chicks also won Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Country Album of the Year. Rick Rubin, who produced the CD, was named Producer of the Year.
The Song of the Year award is given specifically to the writers of the song. This was the only honor DW was eligible for on the Chicks’ album, “Taking the Long Way.”
