You’ll all be proud or horrified to know, depending on your views on the Dixie Chicks’ right to voice their opinions, that Dan helped them write the first single from their new album. The song is called “Not Ready to Make Nice” and concerns, among other things, the band’s response to well-intentioned advice to just apologize and try to make friends with the people who blacklisted, threatened, denounced and excoriated them in 2003.
